Security Guard Shot At Los Angeles Marijuana Clinic
In criminal news out of Los Angeles, according to statements by Los Angeles Police Officer Jason Lee several men approximately 25 to 30 years old confronted a security guard at a medical marijuana clinic. The attempted robbery at the clinic occurred at approximately 3:30 p.m. and the security guard was shot numerous times and died during the incident. His identity is not being released pending notification of his family; Lee did state that the security guard was a male in his 20’s and that he died from his injuries at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
There were several criminal arrests by police in the scene in the area and the LAPD Wilshire Homicide Unit Detective Frank Carrillo stated that the people that were arrested are not being referred to as suspects but are people of interest.
One witness has been identified as Jess McKay age 25 who was driving on South La Brea and heard two loud pops and then saw three men at the door of the clinic and then heard another six shots. He drove off when the men spotted him and returned to the scene at approximately 8:00 p.m. to speak with the police. Someone is going to need a good defense lawyer.
