Actor’s Home foreclosed Upon in New York

Filed under: Entertainment News — keebdatabase @ 8:36 pm

here we go again…. celebrity Stephen Baldwin’s foreclosed house in New York state will be publicly auctioned. He apparently acquired the said home for $515,000 and it is about 1.4-acres in size. It is situated over in Rockland County and was originally acquired way back in 1997, back when his acting career was somewhat hotter. He tried to sell the house several years ago to no avail. Generally speaking, the credit crises has made refinancing quite difficult. Sadly for them, county court records confirm that he and his wife defaulted on almost a million dollars in payments to their mortgage holder. That mortgage holder in question is the Bankers Trust Co. The bank auction is scheduled to start June 24. They might have offered some kind of credit counseling before going this route. The actor has starred in movies such as the comedy “Bio-Dome” with Pauly Shore, and the mob drama “The Usual Suspects” starring Kevin Spacey as a Hungarian gangster. More recently, he has appeared on reality television programs like “The Celebrity Apprentice” starring Donald Trump and “I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!” As if this unfortunate news tidbit was not enouph, it was just reported that de-facto “bank ownership” is at an all-time high and that overall owner equity is at an all-time low. Now that is a really sad thing and unfortunate for the whole United States. many people really need credit counseling right now….Indeed, something as relatively easy as debt consolidation can help to solve a problem like this.
As things are now, the equity percentage in homes in the United States was a mere 41.4% of their total value. To put this another way, the mortgages outstanding on all homes nationwide were 58.6% of their complete value. Stephen Baldwin is part of a large acting family. His brother Daniel is mostly a television actor while his brother Alec has had a long and successful career in films like ‘The Marrying Man’, ‘The Aviator’, ‘The Shadow’, ‘The Good Shepard’, ‘Prelude to a Kiss’ and ‘Pearl Harbor’ to name just a few. His other brother William has also had a relatively successful film career starring in movies like the 1991 firefighter thriller ‘Bulworth’ co-starring Warren Beatty and Hale Berry, the 1993 drama ‘Sliver’, the 2003 feature film ‘Primary Suspect’, ‘Born on the Fourth of July’ co-starring Tom Cruise and ‘Internal Affairs’ co-starring Richard Gere and Andy Garcia.
